    School of Teacher Education Held a Demonstrative and Open Class of Application of Modern Educational Technology for “Integrating Ideological and Political Education into Curriculum”

    On the morning of April 27th, associate professor Wang Bin from School of Teacher Education held a demonstrative and open class of Application of Modern Educational Technology for “Integrating Ideological and Political Education into Curriculum” at Room 509 of Sanshan Building. The students were undergraduate students of Grade 2021 majoring in International Education of Chinese, Attending the class were teachers in Faculty of Educational Technology, as well as new teachers in their instructional internship from School of Teacher Education.


    The theme of the course was “modern distance education”. First, Mr. Wang created three situations for students to think and distinguish which ones belonged to the category of distance education and which ones did not, thus helping them to understand the key components, current traits and ever-evolving concepts of distance education. Then Mr. Wang further explained the developmental stages, historical contributions and future trends of distance education by showing videos. Students listened attentively and with interest, and meanwhile were deeply moved by the pioneering spirits of educational technologists in earlier times.

    After the class was over, teachers attended conducted an in-depth discussion with Mr. Wang, concerning such problems as instruction of concepts, Integrating Ideological and Political Education into Curriculum, the arrangements of the instructional contents and so on. The successful organization of the demonstrative and open class provides an opportunity for learning and exchanging instructional experience for teachers not only in School of Teacher Education, but throughout the whole university. It also sets a good example for our faculty in further implementing instruction by “Integrating Ideological and Political Education into Curriculum”.
