On the morning of 5.13, associate professor ZHOU LongYing from the school of teacher education conducts a public course of ‘Developmental and educational psychology’ for ideological and political education. This course is taught for students who are year two undergraduate students majoring physics (normal). The instructional supervisor of the school, the head of the department of pedagogy and all the young faculties who are in the intern period of teaching are requested to participate and observe this course.
The teaching content of this course mainly focuses on the educational and practical significance of learning motivation and demonstrates how to cultivate and stimulate students' learning motivation. ZHOU uses few examples to encourage students to think and discuss on the designated topics that helps students understand and master new knowledges effectively.
After the class, the department of pedagogy organizes the faculties to discuss on the reflections. ZHOU firstly introduces the methods and strategies for ZHOU for ideological and political curriculum teaching and managing. Young faculty commonly agreed that ZHOU's class has rich teaching contents and includes a few interactive activities to inspire student thinking and learning. This fully reflected an instructor’s skill and ability to control the teaching content.
