At 10:00 a.m. on May 6, 2022, the School of Automotive and Transportation Engineering successfully held an open demonstration class on the ideological and political course of "Transportation System Planning and Design" in Conference Room 311. This open class was presided over by Deputy Dean Geng Guoqing of the School of Automotive Engineering, and Professor Jing Peng gave a lecture. Some young teachers from the school participated in the event and conducted exchanges and discussions.
Dean Geng pointed out that the demonstration open class of curriculum ideological and political teaching is an important way to promote the growth of young teachers in terms of teaching concepts, professional skills and teaching methods. It is an important measure to integrate "course ideology and politics" into the teaching system more effectively. It is hoped that young teachers will pay attention to learning opportunities.
"Transportation System Planning and Design" is a professional course for undergraduates majoring in transportation. The main content of this open class is about "Division Based on Disaggregated Model". In the open class, Professor Jing Peng emphatically explained the theoretical source, modeling process, calculation method and case application of the disaggregated model. Through the case: the impact of oil price changes on people's purchase of fuel vehicles, the application process of the disaggregated model is demonstrated, and the changes in people's willingness to buy cars with the rise in oil prices are deeply analyzed, and the current carbon emissions are effectively integrated. With the national development policy of carbon neutrality, it guides students to think deeply about the harmonious and sustainable development of society, economy and environment from the perspective of transportation development.
After the class, the young teachers had a lively discussion, and jointly discussed issues such as the updating of teaching content and the mining of ideological and political elements of the course encountered in the teaching process.
