In order to promote English teaching level, an English teaching competition was held on the afternoon of October 21th in Room 802 of Sanshan Building. The competition was presided over by Chen Wenxia，the school’s vice dean. Meanwhile, we invited several experts as judges, including Xue Hongli, deputy director of the Dean's Office, Feng Jun, teaching supervisor of the Dean's Office, Su Jianhong, the vice dean of Overseas Education College, and Professor Feng Zhigang. Some young teachers also observed this teaching competition.
Six teachers participated in this competition. Through careful preparation and skillful design, they grasped the teaching content and teaching rhythm accurately, paid attention to the innovation of teaching ideas and teaching methods, expressed clearly and smoothly, which won the recognition of the judges. These fully demonstrated the teaching style of our faculty.
After the competition, the judges gave valuable opinions and suggestions on language level, teaching design, teaching methods and the use of Ideological and political elements of the curriculum, which pointed out the direction for the teaching growth of young teachers. It is hoped that the participants will make persistent efforts and achieve better results in the final competition.
