In order to adapt to the trend of educational internationalization and promote the improvement of English teaching ability and level, the School of Finance and Economics held an English teaching competition on the afternoon of October 20th in classroom 0711 of Sanjiang building. The competition was presided over by vice dean Yan Jun while Xue Hongli (deputy director of the academic affairs office), Feng Jun (teaching supervisor of the academic affairs office), Han Guangcai (teaching supervisor of the academic affairs office), Jiang Yonghua (director of the language and culture center), and Wang Changda (vice dean of the graduate school) were invited as judges. Some young teachers of the college observed the teaching competition.
After voluntary registration and recommendation by the Department, there were 8 teachers participated in the competition in all. The participating teachers taught professional knowledge in a hierarchical and focused way through vivid all English narration and rich physical expression which was easy to understand and enlightening in line with the actual needs of students.
After the competition, several judges gave valuable opinions and suggestions on language level, teaching design and teaching methods, which benefited all contestants and young teachers. The teaching competition has built a good communication platform for teachers to learn from each other. The school will also take this opportunity to promote the competition and continuously improve teachers' English teaching ability and level.
