The School of Foreign Languages Successfully Held the Ideological and Political Demonstration Open Course of "History of Japanese Literature"

On the afternoon of May 15th, the School of Foreign Languages held a teaching demonstration open class activity in Classroom 2301 of Building 2 in Jingjiang. The keynote speaker, Associate Professor Lu Xueying, gave a lecture on the literary characteristics and ideological connotations of Japanese writer and Nobel laureate Kenzaburo Oe, titled "Japanese Sociologist: Kenzaburo Oe".

In terms of achieving ideological and political goals, Teacher Lu paid attention to ideological and political education and value guidance. She provided a detailed introduction to Kenzaburo Oe, who regarded Lu Xun as his teacher and Mo Yan as his friend. He had always advocated peace and had visited China multiple times, calling on Japanese social youth to face history and facts. Through these introductions, students were guided to have an international perspective, have an internal understanding of the national conditions, and have a better understanding of the world, in order to improve their knowledge literacy in telling Chinese stories well; In terms of achieving knowledge goals, by introducing Kenzaburo Oe's works, analyzing his literary characteristics, literary ideas, creative consciousness, and creative themes, students have a comprehensive and profound understanding of the knowledge imparted; In terms of achieving students' ability goals, by introducing relevant research on Dajiang Literature, new concepts, ideas, and achievements in this research field were highlighted, providing reference for improving students' research abilities and cultivating good cross-cultural communication skills.

In the course design, Teacher Lu comprehensively utilized modern information technology and digital resources, and through various teaching methods such as PPT, text materials, film and television works, combined with the characteristics of the course, deeply explored the educational elements of the course, so as to organically integrate ideological and political education with the teaching of professional knowledge, with distinct characteristics and strong demonstration. Classroom teaching had won praise from over 20 students and public class observation teachers. (School of Foreign Languages)
