On October 29, School of Food and Biological Engineering held the 5th English teaching competition in room 301 of Main A building. Prof. Zhou Cunshan, Vice Dean who is in charge of undergraduates, first described the achievements in international education and international joint running of our school. Then he explained the significance and scoring rules of the English teaching competition. Finally, he asked every teacher to adhere to the task of building morality and cultivating students, and strive to improve the quality of students training. Teachers from the secondary units of the college and relevant laboratory watched the competition.
A total of 10 teachers participated in the competition of the college. They have excellent teaching ability and profound academic heritage. In the competition, they showed the ability to spread knowledge and cultivate students by running through their teaching on how to find problems in academic research and explore new knowledge methods. They elaborately selected the teaching content, designed the PPT, and accurately grasped the teaching rhythm. Their language expression was clear and smooth. All of them won the recognition of the judges and were highly praised by other teachers. Finally, Li Haiteng, Bai Juan and Zhao Yiming won the first prize in the English teaching competition. Hu Xinjuan, Chen Chao, Bao Yulong, Liang Qiufang, Li Zhihua, Tian Xiaoyu and Zhang Chuan won the second prize.
After the competition, the judges affirmed the performance of teachers and commented on each contestant from the aspects of teaching design, competition content, curriculum thought and politics. The competition has played a powerful role in improving teachers' English teaching level and skills, mobilizing their teaching enthusiasm and further improving the education quality of foreign students in China.
