On November 12, 2021, in the morning of class 3.4, the School Of Liberal Arts held a demonstration public class entitled "Chinese contemporary literature I" in 0704, Sanjiang building. Xu Guangping, a teacher from the Department of Chinese language and literature, delivered a lecture in this open class. In the class, based on historical materials and references , combined with the text interpretation of Teahouse, and using teaching methods such as inspiration and guidance, reading aloud, teacher-student interactive question and answer, and audio-video combination, Xu led the students into Mr. Lao She's Teahouse to jointly feel Mr. Lao She's patriotism and appreciate the charm of artistic creation. In teaching, Mr. Xu integrated the "Ideological and political elements" into the analysis of the writer's creative psychological changes, and combined the highlight of the political theme of Teahouse with the literary presentation of the works, which played a silent role in the students learning. It brings a wonderful teaching sharing to many young and middle-aged teachers and all the students.
Mr. Xu's open class is divided into six parts: Lao She's feelings for the common people, the creative view in the new China period, the political theme of Teahouse, the creative techniques of Teahouse, the language art of Teahouse, and the tragicomedy aesthetics of Teahouse. Firstly, Mr. Xu took the civilian feelings created by Lao She as the starting point of teaching, and felt Mr. Lao She's humanitarian care by exploring the mental process of Lao She's creation. Then, based on the background of the times and literary theories, Xu analyzed his creative views such as "literature and art serving the people", "politics is the key to understanding the new social life" and "the supremacy of the state ". Xu gave a comprehensive explanation of the political theme, creative techniques, language art and tragicomedy aesthetics of Teahouse. Finally, Xu concluded with the international influence of Teahouse. In class, the students closely followed the teacher's teaching ideas, listened carefully and attentively, and actively answered the teacher's questions, forming a good teaching atmosphere.
The open course of "curriculum thought and politics" provided a platform for teachers to learn, communicate and discuss with each other. After the course, visiting teachers online share their experiences in the class teaching, and revolves around "course education" teaching seminars, formed the good combination of "teaching" and "research" academic atmosphere. The observation and discussion of this open class has played a certain role in promoting the construction of "curriculum thought and politics" in our teaching.
