In order to promote the faculty's professional quality, improve their teaching skills and provide an opportunity of the exchange of teaching experiences. An open class entitled “Mathematical Analysis” was held in Room 605 of Sanshan Building on the morning of May 18, 2021. The course was given by Qian Xiaoyong. New teachers from School of Mathematical Sciences and other colleges attended this activity.
This class is about "Uniform convergence of function sequences". To begin with, Qian reviewed the definition of uniform convergence and some methods to prove the uniform convergence of function sequences.Then, Qian gave some examples to explain how to prove uniform convergence in specific problems. He made reasonable teaching design and stressed the key and difficult points in teaching class. His class led students to think deeply and trained students’ mathematical thinking ability. The classroom atmosphere was lively and the teaching effect was very good.
Those attending the activities listened to the lesson carefully, and learned from each other. After class, they held a heated discussion about the teaching methods and made a summary about the teaching experiences. These activities are expected to promote the long-term exchange and discussion of the faculty, meanwhile promoting the reform of classroom instruction in some sense and helping improve the teaching level.
