On October 15th, the school-level open class about ideological and political education—Basic Japanese—sponsored by Dean’s Office and undertaken by School of Foreign Languages was successfully held in room 112 of Sanshan Building. This open class was lectured by Yao Weijie, a teacher of the Japanese Department from School of Foreign Languages, and nearly ten teachers went to observe the class.
In the class, Yao Weijie first led the students to review the unvoiced and voiced pronunciations they learned in the last course, and emphasized some kana that is easy to be confused. Then, the main content was introduced. The class focused on the Japanese pronunciation of promotional and prolonged sounds. In the teaching process, Mr. Yao first explained the pronunciation rules, and then randomly showed a large number of words for students to recognize. Finally, he corrected the inaccurate pronunciation one by one. During the explanation of prolonged sounds, Mr. Yao also adopted this interactive teaching method, and the learning atmosphere was very active. Mr. Yao cleverly combined the word-teaching and the explanation of the words to show students that the development of our country made foreigners change their language use and attitudes towards Chinese, thus improving and strengthening the nation. The image enhances the national pride and national self-confidence of the students.
Mr. Yao adopted the interactive teaching mode to improve the students' participation and enthusiasm, and the learning atmosphere was active. At the same time, the teaching content was designed from the perspective of ideological and political education to enhance the national self-confidence of the students. The classroom design, classroom interaction, and teaching effect were all praised by the participated teachers.
