The public course of the ideological and political "Physical Pollution Control" of the School of Environment and Safety Engineering was successfully held in Jingjiang College 3505 On October 12, 2021. The instructor was Dr. Song Han, and all students of class of 2018 environmental engineering attended this course. With the development of life and science and technology, radioactive materials have been widely used in many fields such as industry, agriculture, and medical treatment, and a large amount of radioactive "three wastes" have been generated, which has become a pollution problem of concern to the international community. In the public class, Dr. Han gave a detailed explanation on the concept of radioactive pollution, the sources and hazards of radioactive pollution, the dynamics of radioactive pollution in the natural environment, and the current status of our country's nuclear radiation environment. Dr. Han enumerated the damage caused by typical nuclear leakage accidents such as Three-Miles Island Nuclear Generating Station of United States, Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, and Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant of Japan. Problem analysis from the perspectives of credit, supervision, and responsibility has aroused students' deep thinking about the world's environmental security and the community of human destiny. This public class starts from the basic concept explanation to the typical case analysis, step by step, through the case to guide students to use knowledge to analyze practical problems, and to understand the profound meaning from it, and enhance the students' sense of professional responsibility and mission.
