On May 28, the Center for Faculty Development undertook the Faculty Computerized Teaching Capability Promotion Training & Module 4 Practical Guidance on Computerized Teaching in Room 802 of the Sanshan Building. After the preliminary training aimed at promoting the faculty’s computerized teaching capability, the trainees have got a better understanding of the concepts and technology of computerized teaching. This training was organized to offer an authentic platform for them to put the theoretical knowledge they had learned into teaching practice.
At the beginning of the training, faculty members from the School of Electrical and Information Engineering, the School of Management and the School of Civil Engineering and Mechanics respectively demonstrated their PPTs and microlectures. Training Experts Li Changjie, Shen Yuanshun and Wu Licheng pointed out the problems in their works and commented on them in precise words. The experts’ guidance shed light on the puzzlement of the trainees, which was well acknowledged by the thoughtful teachers.
The practical training this time promoted the faculty members to ruminate over what they could do to put into practice the theoretical knowledge they had acquired, to transform their teaching philosophy and model, and to actually upgrade their computerized teaching proficiency.
