The School of Agricultural Engineering held an English teaching competition in the meeting room 1026 of Lei Si Building, aiming to promote the improvement of English teaching ability and to select contestants for the school-level English teaching competition. Teachers from the Department of Agricultural Machinery, Department of Facility Agricultural Science and Engineering and Laboratory attended the competition.
After voluntary registration and recommended by the department and laboratory, 3 teachers participated in this competition. They carefully choose the content of the competition and cleverly design the courseware. Meanwhile, they accurately grasp the teaching content and pay attention to the teaching/learning interaction, which have won the recognition of the judges.
After the competition, the judges commented on the performance of three teachers and give lots of suggestions on teaching content and design, such as combination between curriculum ideological and political elements and love for agriculture. The young teachers who participated in the observation benefited a lot, and one teacher was recommended to attend the school-level English teaching competition. The School of Agricultural Engineering will build an exchange platform for teachers to learn from each other, and continuously improve English teaching ability through this competition.
