Yin Chunfang, the teacher of the Department of Electronic information engineering and biomedical engineering of EIE, held a open class about “Integrating Ideological and political elements into professional courses” on Oct. 18th on 2106 Jingjiang Buliding. Depends on the actual teaching effect feedback, students’ response, teachers’ listening evaluation, the open class shows the positive effect of integrating ideological and political elements into professional courses. It not only enriched the taching content of the course, but also attracted the attentino of teachers and students. It improves the teaching quality of the course and explains the power of ideological and political elements to the cultivation of students’ patriotiom and the construction of professional courses.
This open class is about “frequency division multiplexing” in the course of “Fundamentals of communication priniciples”, and this is one of the three multiplexing technoligies in communication system. Professor Yin vividly introduced the three reuse technoligies through the introduction of application background and application examples, combined with the teaching methof fo abstract demonstration. Focusing on the multiplexing technology throughout the development process of mobile communication, Pro. Yin launched two lines in parallel (as shown in Figure 1). One is the development process of mobile communication G1-G5, the other is the development process of China’s mobile communication industry, focusing on the competition of “the United States, Europe and China” in the communication market. It not only shows the past and present life of the development of mobile communication, but also highlights the hardships and achievements of the development of China’s mobile industry.

In order to let students understand and experience the hardships and difficulties of the development of China’s mobile industry, Pro. Yin told the tragic story of the birth and development of DT-SCDMA standard in the development process of China’s mobile communication. The story combined with the corrent situation of the development of state-owned chip industry, it moved every student and teacher present, deeplydeepended students’ recognition of technological innovation and triggered their feelings of home and country.
After deeply expounding the development of communication, Pro. Yin introduced the specific content of frequency division multiplexing in detal.
The feedback of the open class makes people full of confidence in the integration of ideological and political education into the teaching of professional courses. After the class, Pro. Yin mentioned that, most of the professional courses have professional scientific background. Telling the stories behind these scholarship can not only enrich the teaching content of the course, but also strengthen the students’ sense of historical mission, shape the correct outlook on life and values, and share the fate and breathe with the country and people. This is the correct image of students that universities should strive to cultivate. At the same time, Pro. Yin also proposed that the selection of ideological and political elements and how to combine with the professional curriculum content is an important topci. Each teacher should think hard and achieve harmony and unity with the curriculum content, so as to better help the curriculum construction and better arouse the “resonance” of students.
