Two UJS teachers have won the first prize and one the second prize in the 6th National Graphics and Mechanics Curriculum Competition for College Teachers, which was held in Nantong University from July 9th to 11th.
Over 200 teachers from 108 universities such as Jiangsu university, Southeast University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Tianjin University, Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University etc.,participated in this competition. The contestants,divided into 10 groups, got their teaching contents by drawing lots and then presented their 5-minute teaching plans and 15-minute lectures. The UJS teachers survived from the fierce competition and got great achievements with full preparation. Xue Hongli and Huang Juan won the first prize and Chen Lan the second. Moreover, Xue Hongli, being a representative of excellent contestants, was interviewed by the organizing committee.
This competition was hosted by the Organizing Committee of National College Teachers' Graphics and Mechanics Course Demonstration and Innovative Teaching Method Competition, Subcommittee of Ministry of Education for the Guidance of Engineering Graphics in Higher Education Institution, Joint Committee of Graphology and Mechanical Foundational Teaching in PLA colleges, CGS (China Graphics Society) Specialized Committee on Cartograohy Technology, CGS Specialized Committee on Production Information Modeling. It is the top contest of its kind and rated as National A level for teacher’s teaching contest.
This contest is of great significance in motivating teachers to delve into teaching methods, professional knowledge, experience exchange and thus improve their teaching quality. The UJS faculty have won high recognition from the expert judges by virtue of their wonderful curriculum design, smooth teaching process and adequate command of teaching skills. UJS will seize this opportunity to promote the excellent teaching cases and teaching experience in the competition so as to further improve the teaching quality of relevant courses and talent cultivation quality .
