From September 14th to 23th, the Center for Faulty Development of Jiangsu University successively organized four training courses on online teaching capacity improvement to help teachers better adapt to the online teaching environment and promote their online teaching and class management ability against the backdrop of COVID-19. Over 760 teachers took part in this training.
Four teachers, Sun Jing from the School of Pharmacy, Dai Guoxing from the School of Mathematics, Pan Yuqing from the School of Computer Science and Sun Zixuan from the School of Medicine, were invited to share their online teaching experience and jointly discuss the deep integration of modern information technology and education with the participators through the live webcast. The training contents revolved around the topics such as online teaching problems, the application of the online-course platform and tools, the sharing of online teaching experience and techniques, the blended teaching system construction, etc.
As the experienced representatives of online teaching in UJS, the four Teachers shared their experience and feelings from different disciplines and perspectives. On the one hand, the online training courses demonstrate teachers’ excellent online teaching skills and good mental outlook. On the other hand, they provide useful references for other teachers to effectively carry out online teaching. All the training courses had been video-recorded and uploaded to "Teacher Online Learning Center" platform where teachers can relearn.
Under the guidance of “four innovations”, the Center for Faculty Development of UJS will work steadily to promote teachers’ teaching competence so as to guarantee the high-level teaching quality.
