At 3:30 pm on April 28, the School of Automobile and Traffic Engineering held the 2021 Automobile School Teaching Salon "Discussion on Fascinating New Engineering Teaching Classes" on the second floor of the Automobile Building Experimental Center. All young teachers of the Automobile College participated in this teaching salon activity.
This teaching salon was exchanged by Jiang Dong, a young teacher from the Transportation Department of the School of Automobile. Teacher Jiang Dong won the first prize of the Young Teachers Group of the 10th Teacher Teaching Competition of Jiangsu University in 2020. Mr. Jiang first exchanged some links in the process of his own teaching competition, as well as what he saw, heard, thought and understood in the competition with other college teachers; the focus was on the importance of how to introduce vivid moving pictures and writing on the blackboard during class. He also showed the class notes that he made when the professors in the doctoral stage in Germany took the blackboard for the class. He explained that the blackboard is still necessary in the era of new media teaching. In addition, he also exchanged how to create the classroom atmosphere and the teaching attitude during the class, Classroom rhythm control, etc.
After the report, under the auspices of Vice Dean Geng Guoqing, the teachers of the college had a lively discussion, and they discussed various problems encountered in the teaching process, and how to adapt to the teaching environment and challenges of teachers under the background of new engineering. Teacher Wu Xiaohui and Teacher Zhang Wei also made key exchange speeches.
Finally, Vice Dean Geng Guoqing made a concluding speech for the salon, pointing out that holding a teaching salon is an important measure for the college to further enhance and deepen the teaching philosophy of teachers, improve teachers’ professional skills and teaching methods, and promote the professional growth of young teachers.
